To date he has led the implementation of over 40 early and late phase clinical trials, overseeing full cycle including protocol development, protocol feasibility, site qualification, site initiation/study start-up, clinical operations, patient recruitment & retention, standard operating procedure & policy writing, and regulatory strategy.

As Director & Global Head of Health Equity Strategy for Worldwide Clinical Trials, Daniel Perez serves as leader, strategic counselor, and architect for Worldwide's patient engagement, diversity, and inclusion efforts across 60 countries and 5 therapeutic areas: cardiovascular, metabolic, neuroscience, oncology, and rare disease.
Gleaning from various progressive roles across healthcare and clinical research over the last 14 years, Daniel weaves his deep experience of site-level clinical operations, patient-provider engagement, strategic business development, and commercial strategy in this inaugural role for Worldwide. His focus is on geographic and therapeutic expansion of Worldwide's capabilities to cultivate a thriving and diverse ecosystem of investigative sites, clinician investigators, and patients by participating in bid defenses, designing full-cycle clinical operations, engaging first-time clinician investigators, supporting patient recruitment & retention, and leveraging real-world data from global partnership assets.
Prior to joining Worldwide, Daniel was Chief Executive Officer of a specialty clinical trial site early-stage startup company providing drug development solutions in regulatory and commercial strategy for global rare disease biopharmaceutical clients. He transformed this founder-led company by spearheading overhaul of business processes, systems, and various underperforming areas to create a systematic and scalable organization while increasing growth and efficiency.
Alongside his professional work, Daniel serves as Chair of Operations in non-profit organization Clinical Trials in Color and is the cofounder for the Coalition for Advancing Research Equity (CARE). He is also an adjunct instructor for Clinical Research Fastrack where he enjoys teaching the next generation of clinical researchers. Daniel is also a member of the Society for Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA), Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), Collaborating for Novel Solutions (CNS), and the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE).
Daniel graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences and received his certification of clinical research professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).
