Our large molecule bioanalytical lab is headed by Dr. Tom Zhang, industry recognized large molecule bioanalysis expert. Dr. Zhang is responsible for evaluating and recommending analytical platforms in support of quantitative large molecule work; actively promoting technical development programs to keep Worldwide at the forefront of technology in support of large molecule bioanalysis; and maintaining state-of-the-art knowledge pertaining to large molecule bioanalytical methodologies.

With more than 12 years of industry experience, Dr. Zhang also plays a key role in supporting the expansion of Worldwide’s early phase clinical trial lab facilities. Before joining Worldwide, Dr. Zhang served as the Head of Large Molecule Bioanalysis at WuXi AppTec and Director of Biologics and Biomarker at Frontage Laboratories. He began his career as a Senior Scientist at Roche in Shanghai after earning his Master of Science in microbial engineering from the University of Connecticut. He also holds a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Pennsylvania State University, where he is an active member of the Industrial and Professional Advisory Council. In 2021, he was honored with Penn State’s College of Engineering 40 Under 40 alumni award.
